Sign-in and access
Find the right account and resolve a denied staff or administrator page.
Audience: staff and administrators. Outcome: reach your assigned tool or provide the right information to the person who approves access.
Sign in to your assigned site
- Open the official sign-in link supplied by your union. The address can differ between sites.
- Check that the hostname belongs to the intended union before entering account details.
- Sign in with your own assigned account and complete any additional verification shown.
- Open the staff link or administration tool supplied during handover.
- Check the page title and union name before working.
Public profile sharing may not require sign-in. Staff workflows and administration tools have their own access rules.
If a staff-access page appears
- Check which account is currently signed in.
- Use the page’s different-account or sign-out option when offered if you need to change accounts.
- Sign in with the account your union assigned for that tool.
- Reopen the original staff link.
- If access is still denied, ask the person who approves staff access to review that specific tool and account.
Being signed in does not guarantee approval for every private page. Avoid using a colleague’s credentials to work around a denial.
If the Pro menu is missing
UnionWP Pro’s current settings and reports require administrator access. An account allowed to submit staff requests may correctly have no Pro menu.
Tell the site administrator which task you need. They can either perform the administrator task or review the access assignment. Ordinary use does not require you to create an API key, edit code or change login protection.
If sign-in fails
Follow the visible recovery or verification instructions offered by your own site. If you cannot complete them, contact the account administrator through the union’s known contact route. Do not repeatedly change unrelated settings or disable protections.
For an expired-session message, reopen the approved sign-in page and return to the tool after signing in. Check whether your previous action completed before repeating a save, send or submission.
Report an access issue
Provide the website, page title or address, approximate time and timezone, your assigned role, and the exact visible message. Explain whether you reached sign-in successfully or were denied afterward.
Redact private records and never include a password, verification code, recovery code or connection secret. Sign out after working on a shared device. Administrators reviewing the security report can use Review security and access.
