SMS availability and planned pricing

Current status: SMS and SMS credit purchases are not available yet. A preview, settings panel or displayed future price does not enable messaging or checkout.
Planned use
The intended service covers staff alerts and union messages about strikes, meetings, events and other topics members choose to receive. Member audiences, topic preferences, consent and unsubscribe choices must be part of the member-messaging experience.
Member message composition, contact lists and topic selection are not available in the current release. Submitting a membership application does not enroll the applicant in SMS topics.

These are planned prices. Credit purchases cannot currently be made, and the displayed allowance is not an active credit grant.
Terms still to be announced
The public definition of a credit, supported destinations, renewal, rollover and expiry terms must be confirmed before use. Do not assume that one credit equals one arbitrary-length message to any destination or that unused credits will roll over.

- Confirm your current communication needs: staff alerts, member topics or both.
- Use the union’s existing approved channels for immediate messages.
- Discuss future scope with Empower Union before budgeting a campaign.
- Recheck this page and the product’s availability before relying on SMS.
